Introduction
The Sierra Foothills has a lot to offer the white wine drinker!

While the Sierra Foothills is not a very hospitable climate for growing ultra-premium Chardonnay, there are some wineries that actually do a very good job with locally grown Chardonnay (and also some that source grapes from more Chardonnary-friendly regions and pour them here).

There are also some wonderful other white wines here in the Foothills that we think you'll love. For example, be sure to try some of the Rhone-style whites, like Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne. These can be produced in several different styles. Each winery is a little different.

Based on your answers, here are the wineries we would recommend for you and the order we recommend them. Keep in mind, though, that there is no guarantee as to what a winery is pouring on a given day.
